OpenGate provides eligible Wyoming services by secure video telehealth (online) to adults physically located in Colorado when the requested service falls within Damon's Colorado LCSW scope. Eligible Wyoming matters include Wyoming court, attorney, probation/parole, driver license, WYDOT, or other Wyoming referral requirements. Damon J. If you will be outside Colorado at the time of an appointment, contact OpenGate in advance so eligibility can be reviewed.

What Is an Eligible Wyoming Matter?
An eligible Wyoming matter involves an evaluation, service or documentation within Damon's Colorado LCSW scope and connected to a Wyoming referral source, such as:
- court;
- attorney;
- probation or parole office;
- Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT); or
- other Wyoming referral source.
Requirements can differ by court, agency, attorney, or referral source. Provide any written instructions during intake so OpenGate can confirm that the requested service is within scope and review any applicable requirements.
Services Available for Eligible Wyoming Matters
For eligible Wyoming matters within Damon's Colorado LCSW scope, OpenGate provides the following services by secure video telehealth (online) to adults physically located in Colorado:
- Comprehensive Alcohol and Drug Evaluation;
- Prime For Life® Individual Adult Education; and
- Outpatient Counseling (ASAM Level 1.5) when Level 1.5 is clinically appropriate.
OpenGate can also provide applicable documentation and authorized coordination when connected to an OpenGate service and supported by valid authority. These are not separate services.
Clinical appropriateness, the client's physical location, the purpose of the referral, and applicable requirements are reviewed before scheduling.
Comprehensive Alcohol and Drug Evaluations
OpenGate's formal evaluation service is the Comprehensive Alcohol and Drug Evaluation.
The evaluation brings together clinical information from multiple sources. It includes:
- a comprehensive biopsychosocial and spiritual assessment;
- the full Addiction Severity Index (ASI) as one component of the evaluation;
- assessment using The ASAM Criteria, Fourth Edition;
- applicable DSM diagnostic criteria;
- review of relevant records and collateral information when available and appropriate;
- additional evidence-based instruments when clinically indicated; and
- an individualized clinical recommendation based on the information available.
The ASI is an assessment instrument used as part of OpenGate's comprehensive evaluation. It is not the entire evaluation, and Wyoming does not universally require every substance use evaluation to use the ASI. Current Wyoming Department of Health guidance identifies the ASI as one example of a clinical assessment instrument that may be used.
Important Colorado DUI/DWAI Limitation
OpenGate does not provide Colorado-approved DUI Level I or Level II education or treatment.
If a Colorado court, the Colorado Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV), probation, or another Colorado authority requires a Colorado-approved DUI/DWAI program, follow that authority's instructions and use an appropriately approved Colorado provider.
A person can have both an eligible Wyoming matter and a separate Colorado requirement. Those requirements may need to be addressed separately.
Telehealth From Colorado
For an eligible Wyoming matter, OpenGate provides the applicable service by secure video telehealth (online) when the client is physically located in Colorado and the requested service falls within Damon's Colorado LCSW scope.
OpenGate does not have an office or in-person service location in Colorado.
In-person appointments are available only at OpenGate's Casper, Wyoming office, by appointment. OpenGate does not offer walk-in appointments.
If your physical location changes before an appointment, contact OpenGate before the appointment so eligibility can be reviewed.
Documentation and Coordination
Depending on the purpose of the service, OpenGate can prepare documentation or coordinate with an authorized Wyoming referral source when supported by valid authority. Information is shared with attorneys, courts, probation/parole, WYDOT, or other third parties only when permitted by law and with any required authorization.
When possible, provide OpenGate with any instructions, referral documents, court orders, agency correspondence, or specific documentation requirements related to the matter so they can be reviewed during intake.
Not Sure Whether Your Matter Fits?
If you are physically located in Colorado and have a Wyoming court, attorney, probation/parole, or WYDOT matter, OpenGate can review the basic circumstances during intake and confirm that the requested service falls within Damon's Colorado LCSW scope.
If another provider or a different type of program is required, referral may be appropriate.
OpenGate serves adults only. Services are provided by appointment.
Email and text messaging are for scheduling and administrative communication only. Do not include confidential client information, substance-use details, or sensitive legal information in ordinary email or text messages.
